Who drew the three icon packs that ship inside the app — the same ones every category and field icon in this manual's screenshots is chosen from.
The icon packs inside the app
Forget Me Not ships with three packs of colour icons, offered under Choose icon → Icon packs… on any category or field. None is our work, and all are credited here because that is the least their authors are owed — and, in Google's case, because the licence requires it.
Small & Flat, by paomedia

- Licence: Apache License 2.0. Unlike the above, this one comes with conditions: the licence text must travel with the artwork, so a copy of it is packaged inside the app alongside the icons themselves.

The icons in this documentation
Every category and field icon you can see in this manual's screenshots is one of the three packs above, chosen exactly as you would choose one yourself, under Choose icon → Icon packs… — with one exception. Using an icon of your own demonstrates Browse files…, which by definition needs something from outside the app: a small aeroplane, heart, paw print and flower, drawn for that one purpose rather than downloaded, so the example needs no licence of its own.
Getting an icon of your own
If none of the three packs has what you are after, any image on the phone can still be a category or field icon. iconarchive.com holds several hundred thousand free ones, searchable by name and filterable by licence, and every one downloads as an ordinary PNG straight into your phone's Downloads folder. Search for the thing rather than the idea — tooth rather than dentist, bin rather than rubbish collection — and check the licence on the set before you use it anywhere but your own phone. A photograph of your own works just as well and needs no downloading at all.
Once the file is on the phone, Choose icon → Browse files… in the app will find it.
The app
Forget Me Not is designed and built by Sherwood Technology.
It is built on Android's own Jetpack Compose toolkit and uses Google's Material Design icon set for its built-in icons and its controls. Reminders are held in a database on the device and nowhere else.
